Fascinating debate about Neo-calvinism on the blog of Allan Hirsch, with David Fitch, Bill Kinnon and others weighing in, with interesting comments. All great blogs I like to read often. (Not often enough!)
I recently stumbled upon the following Emergent Blog Post that discusses the recent Catholic-Protestant Emerging Church Conference in New Mexico. This is huge. I was struck by the mention of the meal that was shared by some participants, during which they broke bread together, in an unplanned, spontaneous way. Wow.

The author of this post (one of several about the conference) is Jonathan Brink, who is the Managing Director of Thrive Ministries.

Here is a quote from his article (referring possibly to the meal shared, or the whole conference as a whole):

I walked away from that event completely stunned at what had happened. It’s still resonating. Reconciliation was not only possible, it is happening. And we were part of it. We were writing the next chapter of the reformation.

Tony Blair Faith Foundation Initiative: Blair is looking for young people of faith, for internships in Africa and in their home country. This sounds like a great program! Forces these young adults to interact with other people of different faiths (and similar faiths), all committed to reducing malaria.

Good blog entry that discusses how we sometimes seek to live comfortable christian lives...but that is not what we are called to do...

Comfy Christianity
The Religulous Movie is coming out soon. It looks like it might be an interesting conversation starter...

Here is a review, by someone I don't know. Good detailed observations. Will have to see the movie to determine if I agree!
